Omise Launches Omise MCP, Ushering in Autonomous, AI-Driven Payments

November 27, 2025

Bangkok, Thailand – 27 November, 2025: Omise Co., Ltd. or Omise, a leading provider of online payment solutions in Asia-Pacific, today announced the launch of Omise MCP, enabling merchants to connect AI agents to Omise’s full suite of payment capabilities. With this release, businesses can now allow AI systems to access more than 60 Omise payment tools in a secure, structured, and reliable way, without building custom API integrations.

The launch reflects Omise’s mission to make payments more accessible and effortless for everyone, while reinforcing its role as a fintech innovator in Asia-Pacific. As AI evolves from generating responses to taking real action, Omise continues to lead the way by introducing Omise MCP, enabling AI agents to execute financial tasks, automate workflows, and orchestrate payment operations end-to-end.

“The future of commerce will be defined not only by human potential, but also by how intelligently systems can support our work,” said Jun Hasegawa, Founder and CEO of Omise.

“With Omise MCP, we’re not just enabling AI to observe payments, we’re enabling it to operate them. This marks the shift from passive fintech to intelligent financial orchestration, where businesses can scale without adding complexity, and consumers experience payments that truly work for them.”

Built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP)—an open standard for connecting AI agents and large language models (LLMs) to external tools—Omise MCP allows AI systems to interact with payments in a secure, two-way integration. With this infrastructure in place, AI agents can now execute complex financial tasks independently and reliably.

Omise MCP provides access to more than 60 tools across the entire payment lifecycle, including payment acceptance, transaction management, subscriptions, transfers, monitoring, and more.

With these capabilities, AI agents can take real payment actions, such as accepting payments across cards, banks, e-wallets, and QR, issuing refunds through a single command, or automating time-intensive tasks like reconciliation, supplier payouts, and operational reporting.

“When we built Omise MCP, we started with one non-negotiable principle: it had to be engineered for financial-grade reliability,” said Amborish Acharya, Group Chief Technology Officer of Omise. “AI can only transform payments if the foundation is secure, predictable, and fault-tolerant at scale. Omise MCP delivers that foundation, one where AI agents can interact with money with the same trust we expect from traditional financial systems, while unlocking entirely new possibilities for automation and autonomy.”

Omise MCP marks a major step toward a future where payments are not just digital, but intelligent, adaptive, and collaborative with AI.To get started, access the documentation here.
